Calcedónia Crevice (Gerês) and Hot Spring (Spain)

Gerês National Park - Sunday April 10

    The Peneda-Gerês National Park, is the only national park in Portugal (although many natural parks, protected landscapes, and reserves exist across the nation). It is located in the North of Portugal. The Park was created in order to protect the soil, water, flora, fauna, and landscape, while preserving its value to the existent human and natural resources.
    Pricing table: 35 / 25 Euros for students

      First you need to pay an online booking fee of 10 Euros. The Remaining 25 or 15 Euros, you need to pay in the day just before departure.

Program for the day



9:00 - Meeting Point in Clérigos Tower

9:45 - Middle way driving stop for a coffee

10:00 - Arrival to Gerês National Park and beginning of the adventure

14:00 - Middle way hike stop for a deserved lunch (you need to bring your own food)

16:00 - End of the hike and time for a deserved beer in an amazing spot with the company of the Nature, some cows and birds

19:00 - Time to Relax in the Hotsprings in Spain while we watch the stars and drink a nice bottle of wine (Bring swiming suit and towel)

20:00 - Time to return to Porto (if all agree we can have a dinner in gerês, not included in the price)

22:00 - Arrival to Porto

Medium (5/6 hours), means that any people who are able to walk all day in a city will do it with some extra effort but will do it.
2Technical details
This will be a 10 Km Hike where you will reach one of the most astonishing landscapes in this park and pass through one of the most amazing crevices in the Park.
3What are you paying for?
Transport, local drink, insurance, lots of fun and adventure.
4What to bring?
Proper footwear (rather trekking shoes), hat, sun block, swimming suit, towel, sandwiches, chocolates, fruits, enough water for all day. and lot of good mood. (If in winter, please don't forget your raining coat)
